Dawn: I think a date should be in a real fancy restaurant, then champagne at a night club with a floor show, then ballroom dancing. Joyce: Unfortunately, we're not dating in a movie from the thirties.

Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

For awhile I felt like the most wrong casting ever was Keanu Reaves as Chevalier Danceny, but I recently rewatched and with my new appreciation of a) body language and b) slash, I have to reconsider...

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Keanu Reaves as Chevalier Danceny

It wasn't good casting, but it was certainly pretty casting.

Because books.

Mmmhmmm. ::sigh::

Man, I never considered the slash before now. ::eyes widen::

I watched it recently, and Danceny/Valmont sort, um, stood out, to me.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

OMG the new EW cover of the Twilight movie!

I know, I know. A new low in vampire cheese-tasticness has been discovered.

Art Crawl!!!

Wow, that is totally cheesy. (So does this mean it is likely a faithful adaptation of the books?)

Quite probably, yes. I'm going to wait for it to hit the cheap 2nd run theater to see it. Because I know my curiosity will overwhelm me with the need to see it, but no way in hell am I paying even matinee prices for it.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

K-Bug is insisting I read the book. She is quite the fan and is annoyed that I'm laughing at the pictures and popularity. She flies home the day the 4th book comes out and she wants to hit one of the midnight releases so she has something to read on the plane.

I love my girl, but I'm worried she has been corrupted.

OH K-BUG, NO!

Honestly, I think you should read the book. If for no other reason that when if she starts wurbling about OMG EDWARD AND BELLA TRU WUV I WANT TRU WUV LIKE THEM!, you can explain to her what, exactly is wrong with their relationship. And how Bella is a spineless MarySue.
