Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I saw that in one of our local theaters here. Actually CJ pointed it out to me and HE wants to go. YAY!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Um, I saw that in the theatre last week and my response was "Huh? Didn't think the movie was that popular to deserve an anniversary release...."

move out and draw fire

The only way to win is to not play.

I just finished reading "Save The Cat," a book about screenwriting. It's pretty good, makes some good points. The author codified Robert McKee's rules for magic a little more: Double Mumbo Jumbo. Only one magic thing per movie. Like, you shouldn't have magical Mayan artifacts AND aliens.

you shouldn't have magical Mayan artifacts AND aliens.

Things probably would have gone smoother if that had been followed.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

So in all of our animation talk last week, it occured that i had never seen Cars from the beginning. I always came in shortly after he destroys the road in Radiator Springs.

OMG the beginning is HIGH-larious! Click and Clack! And so, going through the credits, I am cracking up at all of the real race car drivers that lent their voices! Fuh-Knee!! That stuff alone boosted it up there.

KA-CHOW!

In viral marketing news, something Batman-y will be going on tonight at 10 EST in NYC & Chicago. If you're into that kind of thing.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I'll spoiler this in case.

If you click on the coordinates, there is a message. Click on the coordinates under the snowy screen and a google map pops up.
