I just finished reading "Save The Cat," a book about screenwriting. It's pretty good, makes some good points. The author codified Robert McKee's rules for magic a little more: Double Mumbo Jumbo. Only one magic thing per movie. Like, you shouldn't have magical Mayan artifacts AND aliens.

So in all of our animation talk last week, it occured that i had never seen
Cars
from the beginning. I always came in shortly after he destroys the road in Radiator Springs.
OMG the beginning is HIGH-larious! Click and Clack! And so, going through the credits, I am cracking up at all of the real race car drivers that lent their voices! Fuh-Knee!! That stuff alone boosted it up there.
