The website is completely horrid and nearly content-free in terms of pricing for the packages. Internet and basic cable bundled together is probably something like 80 a month, basic plus is 110, and it goes up about $10/month from there for variously ridiculously inclusive packages. You can probably get something like $40/month for six months to a year for a new account.
Sprinkle a few more probablies and abouts in the above paragraph and then add or subtract $9.99 to or from each of the above numbers, and there's the local cable/Internet package lineup. Approximately.
What cable company is it?
Thanks, JZ. I was guessing my potential new address and they kept telling me there was no such address. I finally put in my address here and they said the same thing. And they won't give you pricing without an address.
I ran into the same thing, megan, when I was researching utilities when moving. Even when I put in a good address of a potential place, I'd get "this address already has service" and no information. SO not user friendly.
The place I ended up renting has basic cable included and I pay $24/month for high-speed internet. The place has a dedicated Comcast guy, so if I need anything I just call Jeff. Kinda makes it easier.
megan, I'm paying $62/month pre-taxes/surcharges for high-speed internet and super-basic cable (no Comedy Central, CNN, A&E - but I do get Discovery and the 5 "networks").
Thanks guys! Seems cheaper than NYC anyway. Now I just need a TV!
Weren't we geeking out over WarGames here recently? Well, you can geek out in the theater on July 24th, because it's being shown in 300 theaters across the country that day.
Tickets are $10 for all of the Chicago-area “WarGames” screenings, which begin at 7:30 p.m.. The timing, no surprise, is meant to coincide with the movie’s 25 anniversary DVD release on July 29, and the program will feature taped interviews and other “extras,” including a preview of a new straight-to-DVD “WarGames” sequel.
I saw that in one of our local theaters here. Actually CJ pointed it out to me and HE wants to go. YAY!
