I think after Gladiator, Russell Crowe would have been out of price range (besides being too old for the part).
Maybe it could have been part of a community service deal after Crowe beaned that hotel worker with the phone.

Yep, waaaay back in April. I barely remember it now, though.
Clunky writing, decent acting? *sigh* Don't know if I want to bother.
It was pointed out to me this weekend (by a person who has the antithesis of my taste in movies and fandom) that they weren't so much cowboys as shepherds. But I think he was making fun of me.
Well, they were shepherding on Brokeback but once Jack went on to rodeo and Ennis turned back to ranch hand, they qualify as cowboys in my book.

I keep going back and forth about whether or not I want to see it.

I'm fairly sure it'll go on my Netflix queue.
Has anyone seen or heard anything about The Last Legion? I'm intrigued, 'cuz Colin Firth in Roman dress with a sword, but it looks like it has the potential to be truly awful.
I saw a promo for it and it's got MORE than Colin Firth. . .but - yeah, zero publicity makes me think that they would prefer to forget about it.

True. Ben Kingsley, Aishwarya Rai, John Hannah, Alexander Siddig... It's a cast made of awesome. Perhaps I will have to sacrifice and see it and report back.
So did only a few people see the Bourne movie this weekend? I find that I don't have much to complain about, but also not much to say. It
might have lacked heart.
Also, and possibly interesting only to me, I didn't see a car chase filmed in Chelsea. But I did pass by Bourne's choice of vehicle parked unassumingly on the street several days in a row in Feb. I don't know why they had several blocks roped off for a chase that magically
went from the Port Authority to the Seaport,
but whatever.
I never got around to seeing the second Bourne movie, and TCG has never seen either of the first two, so if we do get around to seeing the third one, it will probably be on DVD. I did want to see this one, because of Julia Stiles.
I didn't even notice that, which is how much I was paying attention to detail!
