The setting of Ratatouille leads me to place it higher than I probably would otherwise.

I don't think I've seen a lot of non-Pixar.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

We just saw Emperor a few months ago. I need to watch it again. I loved it to bits.

Lilo and Stitch is still a favorite among animated films.

I love Lilo & Stitch and Finding Nemo so much I'm not sure they even belong on a list with other animated films. Ditto Spirited Away.

I'm guessing Nightmare Before Xmas was before that? Also, no Corpse Bride?

Nightmare is outside the scope, or it would rate near the top. I just forgot about Corpse Bride which would fit mid-list. It was a little disappointing. The characters aside from the Corpse Bride herself, were too meh.

I did like both Ice Age movies (the second one, moreso) and Madagascar though they would be middle-to-low in the pack. Entertaining enough, but not artistic triumphs.

What about Meet the Robinson's, Aims? I thought you liked that a lot.

I just re-watched Lilo & Stitch a couple of nights ago, and my love for it remains so large and steadfast that I don't know that anything, Pixar or Studio Ghibli or anything at all, will ever knock it down to second.

Animated (kids-ish) since 1995 list: Incredibles, Finding Nemo, Spirited Away, Monsters Inc., The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Lilo and Stitch, Ratatouille, The Emperor's New Groove, Shrek, Toy Story 2, Toy Story, The Iron Giant, James and the Giant Peach, Meet the Robinsons, Fantastia 2000, A Bug's Life

I've never seen Anastasia, The Prince of Egypt, Horton Hears a Who!, Kung Fu Panda, Howl's Moving Castles, or other potential high scorers. I didn't include anything ranked below A Bug's Life (e.g. Pocahontas and Mulan) or adult things (South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut)

I really enjoyed Ice Age (though I haven't seen the second one).

And I'm with Jess on Nemo, Lilo & Stitch, and Spirited Away.

Also, I would probably put Iron Giant on that list of films that need to be seperated out from other animated films.

Going by the fact that we own them, I would say the favorites of Chez Neil are Lilo and Stitch --because it reminds Hubby of his years living in Hawaii--and Ice Age --because Hubby loves dinosaurs. And not the cutesy Land Before Time dinosaurs, because we keep voting on which one we want to see get squished.
