Lorne: Once the word spreads you beat up an innocent old man, well, the truly terrible will think twice before going toe-to-toe with our Avenging Angel. Spike: Yes. The geriatric community will be soiling their nappies when they hear you're on the case. Bravo.

Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

What's the source on that one?

comingsoon.net, I think. I pretty much went to rottentomatoes.com and clicked on anything that looked funny and/or bitter.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Once again, it's usually not the actor's fault they're in a single bad movie -- lots can go wrong between signing on to a project, what with script, director, producer and star changes.

It's when an actor ONLY seems to appear in horrible things that you've go to wonder.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

It's when an actor ONLY seems to appear in horrible things that you've go to wonder.

Or when he's the driving force behind the project the way Myers is with this one.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

The Chronicle review of Love Guru was interesting because he didn't consider it a flop but a bizarre insight into Mike Myers complete fuckedupedness.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

"...Jessica Alba... is to acting what Dame Judi Dench is to sex..."

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

"If cleverness were a symphony, Myers composed this tired tune for male organ only"

"...an experience that makes you wonder if you will ever laugh again."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Who are you quoting? I will hunt them down! I think the woman's hot.

The anti-Alba quote is from the New York Post.

I suspect ita is aggrieved at the slur to Judi Dench's sexiness.
