We're going to see Indiana Jones in a few. I'm not expecting greatness; just fun. Not even 10 tons of fun; just yay Indy.
From everything I've read of reviews, it's better than Temple of Doom, so that's all I need. I don't expect it to be as good as Raiders.
The movie was a lot fun, it didn't take me a bit to get into it, but it was a lot of fun.
I loved all the little references to prior films.
God, I love Viggo: [link]
Second the Viggo love.
Went and saw Ironman, today. I have one thing to say, RDJ has eminently lickable arms. Oh, and it was a cracking good film.
In how many ways does Tropic Thunder seem wrong?
[link]
RDJ as a black man. This I have to see. (and hopefully Jack Black and Ben Stiller don't suck)
A black (sounding) guy behind me at Iron Man said, "I don't know about
that
" after the Tropic Thunder trailer.
I can't check youtube at work but if Juliebird didn't link to the red band trailer there are copious more levels of wrongness to be had in
Tropic Thunder
. I get the feeling that wrongness is the point of the film. Robert Downey Jr is playing an Australian actor and I think the point of him playing a black character is that the Ozzies have already played every other kind of person so black is simply the next logical step.
It is the red band trailer for
Tropic Thunder.

The Happening...
HOLY SHIT
M. Night Shyamalan has an R-rated movie!!!?!
I saw the green band trailer for Tropic Thunder, and at the time I thought it was going to be a parody of war movies, and I actually kind of wanted to see it. (At the time, I didn't realize that RDJ was supposed to look black.)
When I saw the red band trailer and realized that it was a parody about actors, who happen to be making a war movie (plus the fake!black thing), that pretty much went away.
