Oh yeah, and I watched the Lake House on cable and he was good in that. Much better movie than expected.
It was pleasantly surprising. Not that it needed to be, since my Keanu-love knows no bounds.
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

One thing that Keanu does very well on screen is move. This is often an underrated part of acting
Very much so. And screen physicality is completely different from stage physicality. But yeah, Keanu really knows how to move for the camera.

Oh yes, he does.
Damnit, why am I here at work and not at home watching The Matrix?

I think I've found the flaw in your job description...
At my next review, I'm gonna ask for a promotion to Undersecretary of Staying Home To Watch The Matrix.
Overachiever.
I caught Legend of Billie Jean Davies last week, another childhood fave, and now I hate it. Fair is fair? WTF kinda message is that?
I don't know or care. That movie was all about Helen Slater watching that silent version of Joan of Arc and cutting her hair all butchy. I was not paying any attention to the rest of it.
Keanu fan rollcall? HERE!
Keanu is so ingratiating that even Joe Queenan did a nice article about him. Well, nice for Queenan.
I liked River's Edge & My Own Private Idaho. I just saw Speed recently and I think for some reason Keanu + blockbuster action movie = sleepytime for Strega.

That's the only part worth watching! It's not butchy, though. It's cute.
