A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

I am very tired. Was up until the wee hours of the morning watching some little art house flick, and now I'm up because I have to go to the Colony to work for a bit, before heading down to Palos Verdes to work the Shakespeare festival.
What a gadabout. All of this "working".
The Book
Deathly Hollows? I'm still on book 3. Yes, I'm a wee bit behind.
S is okay.
I am overworked like WHOA, and by the time the run of Midsummer is over, and we're done with strike, I'll have worked (including other jobs) almost a month straight without a day off.
Horey Morey. That's a long time with no time off babe. You should reward yourself with a trip to MICHIGAN!
BOOK THREE???
BOOK THREE???
They have these movie thingies that take much less time and effort. I've seen up to movie 4, and will surely go see movie 5 real soon. I'm much more caught up on movie Potter.
We got the trailer for The Dark is Rising yesterday. I squeaked I was so excited. Nine (Eccleston) as The Rider, and Ian McShane! And maybe they just chose the non-cheesy FX for the trailer, but damn, it looks good.
See, I had the exact opposite reaction. I saw the trailer and I thought, "Wow, McShane will appear in all kinds of crap." It didn't help that they showed a few trailers for "ordinary boy discovers extraordinary powers/object" movies in a row, but i was not impressed.
BOOK THREE???
Heh. That's all I've read. I've only seen the first movie. I have no Potter magic in my heart.
With the Dark is Rising trailer, my problem was that I was so turned off by the beginning of the trailer (That's not Will! Will is *still* not American! Who the hell are those people?) that I couldn't enjoy the rest of it.

Oh yeah! I'd love to do that soon, but less than a week after Midsummer closes, I'll be starting a new play at the Colony through the month of August, and after that is the install for Halloween Horror Nights.
And some time during the month of August, I have to fly up to San Jose to see my Mom, both my sisters, my BiL, and my NEW NIECE!
And a movie. Definitely a movie. (See! On topic, still.)
