I don't know the comics at all, so I don't know if it's good casting.
It's excellent. Pete and I were talking about it last night.
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Lemme guess - The Comedian dies, right? 'Cause JDM's characters can't seem to survive, unless it's just his TV characters.
Still, he'll be sex-ay as he does it.
Ooooh, he could be really good as the Comedian
But, then, I'm the person who, while watching P&P, was thinking that Colin Firth would have made a terribly interesting Sirius.
It also says that Michael Bay is remaking The Birds !?!
I didn't know that birds could explode in gigantic fireballs.

Maybe he only remembers the gas station sequence?

That's an interesting take. I think it would have worked, though I've always pictured a rougher Sirius.
Of course, then I think I would have to pair him with David Wenham as Remus.
I see you weren't in the midwest in '95, Corwood. Exploding chickens! Among all sorts of other bad stuff.
Well, exploding birds, sure. But did they explode into rapidly* expanding fireballs?
* but not too rapidly because your heroes need to be able to outrun them.

My eyes kind of bugged out when I read it, but you're right. He's got that sort of rugged, haggard thing going on that'll work for the character. Nice.
