It's all about choices, Faith. The ones we make, and the ones we don't. Oh, and the consequences. Those are always fun.

Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. "What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

um ... isn't that the kind of date that calls for something black and white, depressing, with subtitles?

I'd say most of our dates called for something black and white, depressing, with subtitles. Perhaps this is why we are no longer together.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I loved the Bourne chase outside Guard du Nord because I could fantasize about him running down the bag lady that accosted us on our trip to Paris.

But honestly, I loved both films and am looking forward to the next one.

I love that scene because it reminded me of Diva.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

We had the Cloverfield trailer before Transformers. Completely blanked it from my mind, though. I think the city destruction scenes from the latter overlaid it.

Now, if we're talking irritating filming styles then unsteadicam is right up there on the list for me.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I may have mentioned before but my favorite part of the first Bourne movie was when he removes the fire escape map of the building from the embassy wall. *That* was clever and got my attention.

Because books.

I loved both of the Bourne movies, and I can't wait for the third one. The camerawork didn't bother me at all, and I didn't read the books, so I have no idea how much stuff got cut for the scripts.

I'm really looking forward to the third. Damon is a fantastic action star.

Everything but "an assassin with memory loss is picked up by a boat and meets a Swiss lady."

(I am sure people will chime in with similarities between the books and movies, but you get the idea. They are only loosely related.)

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Nah, pretty much what bon said. I always liked the books, and I've liked both movies, but they're just different animals.
