Equilibrium is quite silly, but the gun katas are fun, in a very silly way.
Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
Oh! TMD is an annual rewatch. TMD is responsible for my love of Neruda. In the same way as the series Beauty and the Beast is responsible for my love of Rilke.
I remember yelling "Shoot the dog!" at the screen during Equilibrium.
I had to stop TMD and eject the DVD. I found them all loathsome and annoying.
I know I'm a heretic. I'm sorry.
Cinematical's list of the seven best R rated Christmas movies. Ummm, WTF? They've never heard of Love Actually or even Bad Santa?
The Ref is my favorite. And I swear it's not just because my dad and stepmonster have an antique business and a miserable marriage. But that does help.
But it did have Silent Night, Deadly Night, so it had the most important R rated Christmas movie on it.
I think The Ref made me fall in love with Denis Leary a bit but "Rescue Me" cleared that right up.
Ha! I was never that into TMD either, but didn't want to say anything.
Really? I guess not everyone has my deep love for squadroom bullshit. Of course if I were a proper feminist, I think I should be put out about some of the stuff between Tommy and Janet, but I don't really have to work hard at being outraged, so I have to pace myself.
