All I can think of now when I hear about or watch that movie is how Gary Oldman couldn't stand Winona Ryder. Because I heart GO and despise WR. But Keanu still holds a place in my heart, even if he does fall flat and monotone most of the time.

Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
We don't get Watchmen for another year?
Dude.
Damn.
I know! It better be fucking awesome. 20 years is enough waiting.
edit: actually I think January of 2008 will be 20 years since the first time I played Cast That Movie with Watchmen.
re-edit: I know I had Tim Robbins as Night Owl but the rest is kind of fuzzy.
All I can think of now when I hear about or watch that movie is how Gary Oldman couldn't stand Winona Ryder.
Really? Huh, this is gossip I had not heard before. Where could I find interviews or details?
t I would try to close this tag signifying my irrational love of that movie, but really, why bother?
It better be fucking awesome.
I want this SO much. But...From Hell. League. The track record is not good.
(I did enjoy V, but that's also easily my least favorite of Moore's books, and even there I have to put my fingers in my ears and LALALALALA the random-ass "I fell in love with you and that's why...something" scene at the end which MAKES NO SENSE EVEN IN THE CONTEXT OF THE MOVIE.)
Anybody seen P.S. I Love You ? I can't tell from the many mixed reviews whether I would like it.
I don't know about P.S. I Love You, Laga, but for a movie with a similar theme that I loved, I highly recommend Truly, Madly, Deeply, which is maybe ten or fifteen years old? Should be findable on vhs or DVD. Plus? The dead husband is played by Alan Rickman.
that's what Truly, Madly, Deeply is about? It's been on my Netflix queue for ages but I didn't remember why I added it. Time to bump it up!
we started to watch Equilibrium last night but my eyes rolled out of my head and across the floor when they said that Mona Lisa was authentic. We switched to Knocked Up which was even funnier the second time around though the unrated version does drag in spots. I'm curious to watch the theatrical release to see if it flows better. I do intend to give Equilibrium another shot.
