Now hold on, I'm gonna press the right pedal harder. I expect us to accelerate.

Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Bilbo Boogaloo

Ha!

I'm assuming that they're dividing it into two parts? Which is weird. I mean, the story isn't that sprawling.

It does make me fearful that if the two proposed movies make a billion or so for New Line, Peter Jackson's The Silmarillion won't be too far behind.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Glad you liked Slings, P-C! Great stuff, isn't it?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

if the two proposed movies make a billion or so for New Line, Peter Jackson's The Silmarillion won't be too far behind.

What's the problem with that?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Glad you liked Slings, P-C! Great stuff, isn't it?

Yeah! I wasn't really into it for the first few episodes, but I ended up loving it and the characters more than I expected.

Art Crawl!!!

I wonder how many films the Silmarillion would make?

I'm already anticipating a two day EE Hobbit/LotR Pentology viewing!

I somehow missed the bit where it said that PJ isn't going to be directing the Hobbit.
