runs around flailing
My goodness, that movie is going to be art-directed within an inch of its life. I approve.
Aimee, don't be silly. Johnny Depp will be the Mad Hatter or the White Rabbit, and HBC will probably be the Red Queen.
JD would make a decent Cheshire Cat, though. And I can see Tim casting HBC as the Red Queen.
curses the sudden yet inevitable x-post
Make JD and HBC Tweedledee and Tweedledum.
ETA: Before Iget hung up by my toenails, I'm totally just kidding. Cheshire Cat and Red Queen were totally what I was thinking.
Jim Broadbent as The Walrus.
Dammit, my stupid is showing. They aren't in Adventures.
Very glad Adventures is on my reading list for my children's lit class!
CAST ALICE YOUNG. If you can even vaguely pull it off. Alice is supposed to be, what, 7 or 8? Her stories don't work for me if she's any older than 10 or so...
yes unknown young Alice, please. And Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter or possibly the caterpillar and HBC as the Queen.
She's too old now anyway. She's headed towards the teen roles shortly.
I wouldn't have cried at her casting when she was younger, though. She's weird as hell, but she could almost certainly pull the role off. I'm not sure that many real children can.
I just read Hilary Swank is going to play Amelia Earhart. She's a good actress and all but I think she doesn't feel right for that role. Good on her for taking flying lessons, though.

Seems like a pretty good fit to me.

How cool! Just after I read it for the first time!

Neither is the Red Queen. Unless HBC wants to be the Queen of Hearts.
