There were adorable little 'uns yelling happily at the screen in our viewing. And the entire audience clapped, once during the movie and at the end. Kids can like it for the princess and the cutie chipmunk if nothing else.
Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
During our tv watching last night, Joe and I saw a trailer for Sweeney Todd. As I watched like, everyone from the HP movies flash by, I commented to Joe, "Swear to God. They're gonna accidentally cast Johnny Depp in Deathly Hallows."
I can totally see it - pan through on the great hall and there's Johnny Depp, sitting at one of the tables just waving.
Heh, now I'm wondering who Sacha Baron Cohen should play in DEATHLY HALLOWS.
Deathly Hallows directed by Tim Burton? That would be....interesting.

Want.
Also, would love to see Johnny Depp in one of the portraits. Possibly playing a past HM of Hogwarts.
I'm just happy that the latest trailers/ads for Sweeney Todd have acknowledged the fact that it's a musical.
When I saw the trailer for Sweeny Todd my first thought was "Oh no! Helena Bonham Carter's hair is catching!"
Possibly playing a past HM of Hogwarts.
Phineus Nigellus.
Phineus Nigellus.
FTW.
Why am I not surprised that Ken Russell directed Tommy ? I never card to find out who had, as it upset me so much (I think I was 10, and it was my first run-in with powerful negative cinema), but I swear. Anything Russell does just digs its fingers into into my alligator brain and clenches.
