interesting. I was trying to explain to him how it is necessary for the writers to be striking but, as a small business person, it's hard for him to get behind anything a union might do.
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Help!
I'm listening to a standards music station and I just heard "How High the Moon?"
I swear it's used at the end of a movie, but not the version I just heard (June Christy's), it's a slower version ...
and nevermind. It's Biloxi Blues. I had the same issue the last time I heard the song.

They're not supposed to be doing any rewrites. However I'd imagine it's happening in some cases.
Rumor: Leaky Cauldron is reporting a rumor that Madonna's daughter Lourdes may be cast in HBP. Possibly as Snape's mom? You know, as a little girl.
She's. Not. ENGLISH. Living in England and having a mom who fakes a British accent doesn't make you English.

What is her citizenship?
Definitely American. Maybe dual if her dad has citizenship from elsewhere. And maybe dual since Guy Ritchie is English and he's her stepdad.
What is her citizenship?
The father was that guy she met while filming Evita, wasn't he?
Living in England, I bet the kid actually does speak with a Britsh accent. It was true of my husband's young cousins who lived over there. When they came back to America, the accent disappeared eventually.
Her trainer, I think? But I'm guessing the kid has actually lived in England most of her life, so I think it's not a clear line.
Definitely American.
How do you know? Is that information readily publicly available?
If you have a kid who's raised most of her life in the UK and therefore probably has an English accent and may or may not have the citizenship, what's the problem with casting her?
Is the citizenship the dealbreaker, and if so, how would we know what she has?
