Living in England, I bet the kid actually does speak with a Britsh accent. It was true of my husband's young cousins who lived over there. When they came back to America, the accent disappeared eventually.
Her trainer, I think? But I'm guessing the kid has actually lived in England most of her life, so I think it's not a clear line.
Definitely American.
How do you know? Is that information readily publicly available?
If you have a kid who's raised most of her life in the UK and therefore probably has an English accent and may or may not have the citizenship, what's the problem with casting her?
Is the citizenship the dealbreaker, and if so, how would we know what she has?

Maybe I'm conflating my terms. She was born to an American mother at an American hospital (Cedars-Sinai) which makes her a permanent American citizen.

But that doesn't make her not British.
I think her nationality is irrelevant. It's the likelihood she's inherited her mama's acting chops (or complete lack thereof) that worries me.

I screened This Christmas this morning. I was surprised at how good it was. Quite the assortment of complex and flawed characters. This is not your feel-good Christmas movie. The many plot lines failed to come together in a neat little bow at the end. Overall I thought the message was, life sucks, but it's easier with family.
