Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Ok - so I had no idea that that wasn't Crispin Glover in Back to the Future 2.

Huh.

And I have no idea who that really is standing with Sir Tony.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

And I have no idea who that really is standing with Sir Tony.

Neil Gaiman, who wrote the movie. I got the link from his blog. He's pretty sanguine about the press not having any idea who he is.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

"Crispin Glover" and Anthony Hopkins at the Beowulf premiere

Wow, I'm suddenly filled with a heretofore unfelt admiration for Glover's writing.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

this nine-minute, experimental film, which was written, directed, and produced by Jim Henson-and starred Jim Henson!

Henson's experimental films are great! A year or two ago they showed a bunch of them at the Brattle in Cambridge.
