Hey. New board.
Finally saw Across the Universe yesterday. I'm pretty sure I liked it. Parts of it didn't work exactly, and I did some confused blinking at certain plot points, but I liked the feel and the random Scenes of the Trippy. Also, it turns out I haven't heard an awful lot of Beatles songs.
Evan Rachel Wood is still a good actress, though she didn't get to showcase her awesomeness as much in this as in some of her previous films. The dude who played her British boy was also pretty great, with some of the same charm that Ewan brought to Moulin Rouge.

I thought the film works best if the question is never answered. The distinction becomes meaningless as sufficiently-advanced technology becomes indistinguishable from magic, you know?
Also, Ridley Scott is approaching Lucasfilm levels of tinkering. Let's hope no cute furry beasts show up in the new version.

Can't say that I wouldn't like to see the new levels of digital restoration, I just don't know what more he can add. Unless it's ewoks.
