Simon: The decision saved your life. Zoe: Won't happen again, sir. Mal: Good. And thanks. I'm grateful. Zoe: It was my pleasure, sir.

'Out Of Gas'

Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Lethal Weapon, baby.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I can see the argument for both, but there comes a time when you have to choose one side or the other and in this, I have to firmly plant atop the Nakatomi Plaza.

Compassionately intolerant

Can someone incarcerate Uwe Boll next?

Seriously.

Free John McTiernan!! Somebody hand me a picket...I'm makin' a sign.

The Thomas Crown Affair. Best remake ever. And one of the most interesting director's commentaries.

Scooter Libby gets off and John McTiernan gets 4 months.

It's a topsy-turvy world we live in.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

The Thomas Crown Affair. Best remake ever.

Best Magritte homage ever.

Compassionately intolerant

Best Magritte homage ever.

Word.

Although, it got muddied with the 'let's play ball' line, which McTiernan doesn't quite adequately explain. It came down to 'I liked the line.'

Somehow weaving in something about anonymity would have been more confluent and literary-y, but hey, still a great scene.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Die Hard rules. Rules, I tell you.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Die Hard rules. Rules, I tell you.

Right, Mr. Falcon?!

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

In the Best Action Picture of all time category I nominate Bad Boys II. Your one stop shop for clever use of corpses.
