I'll just jump in my time machine, go back to the twelfth century, and ask the vampires to postpone their ancient prophesy for a few days while you take in dinner and a show.

Sj, I was underwhelmed.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Sj, I was underwhelmed.

I was underwhelmed with the new cast(could they have cast a Christopher that looked less like the Christopher from the original show?) , but the returning cast made me squee with delight. I don't know if that squee can carry me for a whole season, but I'll be sticking around for a while to find out.

Yes, Bobby, Sue Ann and JR were fabulous.

I'm finally watching Bunheads. While I'm not through the episode yet, I think the main character is a little like Lorelai, but I can't imagine Lorelai getting in the car with that guy, no matter how drunk. And Lorelai is far more resourceful.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I am also finally watching Bunheads! I can see a lot of parallels with Gilmore Girls, but I'm fine with that. The thing that bothers me, and I swear I will just get over it very soon, is that I've been to Paradise, CA and it's not on the coast.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

She's maybe like Lorelai if Lorelai hadn't gotten pregnant and had to fend for herself so early in life.

Maybe I could see that. However, Lorelai didn't have to fend for herself, if I'm remembering correctly. She chose that life.

She did, but because her parents were so stifling.

Man, I miss Gilmore Girls. I might have to do some rewatching tomorrow.

But she could have still chosen to put up with the stifling parents, not had to struggle for money, and had Rory raised by the servants. They didn't actually throw her out when she got pregnant, right?

Right. She took off after she had the baby.
