We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Also, Michelle reminds me so much of Lorelei -- tall, brunette, fast-talking, irreverent -- that when I *don't* see Lauren Graham there, I'm a little disappointed. Someone else said that upthread, I think.

Yeah, that was me. I don't think this actress is as cute as Lauren Graham (her chin looks weak to me), but I'm willing to give her a shot.

Wild child younger woman with uptight older woman, and the magical small town are the most obvious, I think.

Except I think the older woman clearly has more wildness in her, and the younger woman is someone who explicitly was trapped by her circumstances: she clearly felt her life was kind of dreary, despite the party context.

That said, Paradise is very Stars Hollow. And I thought it was interesting the way they hung a lampshade on the fast-paced dialogue.

I'll give it a couple more episodes.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'm going to keep watching for a little while because DANCERS! I hope the show finds its own identity, though, instead of just borrowing from the Gilmores.

I was kind of feeling the same way, but the fact that they surprised me at the end by killing off/fridging Stalker Hubble, and that alone is going to keep me watching for at least a bit.

I was wondering about the pregnancy too, Tom--given that they need to find a reason for her to stay in Paradise.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Christ, whatever you do, DON'T look at this animated GIF of Matt Bomer being NSFW. Seriously.

You shouldn't.

The look on that woman's face is: "Just a little bit closer...Oh yeah..."

I can't decide on the socks/no socks question, though.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Still planning to pass on seeing Magic Mike?

I do think the black dress shoes/no socks combo is almost horrible enough to negate what's going on elsewhere in the frame, though.

Oh, god, no I can't watch it. The amount of Channing in the trailer + what there was in Haywire is my annual threshold. Thank god they're pushing off GI Joe II, otherwise I'd be totes over limit.

Yeah, I'm going to skip the movie, but that was a nice gif!

I will be all over the animated GIFs and YouTube clips, never fear.
