Completely parenthetical note, but I just got caught up on Mad Men, went to Badass Digest for their reaction to the episode, read one reviewer talking at some length about how Lane's death was the worst television gutpunch he'd had to cope with since Joyce Summers, and ISTG about a third of the comments are from people whining, "I just started watching Buffy! How could you just throw in a spoiler like that, you bastard?"

Cable Drama: Still Waiting for the Cable Guy to Show Up with the Thread Name...
To be determined... (but it's definitely [NAFDA])
Heh. I feel for them, though, as a spoilerphobe!
I'm watching the Breaking Bad special features, and, holy crap, Giancarlo Esposito is so different from Gus it's crazy. His voice is different, his speech is different, his eyes are different, his body language is different...he's so goddamn amazing in that role he makes it look easy, like that must just be how he is because it seems so natural and perfect. Give him all the goddamn awards.
Oh, he is one of the great unsung actors whose talent seems to slip by mostly unnoticed.
Indeed. I think if Spike Lee didn't discover him he at least showcased him early on enough so that he's been working steadily (if under the radar) ever since, and we owe him a big thanks.

Amen. He is an amazing actor.
Juiia Ormond is playing Meghan's mother?!?!?!? I totally missed that before.
In other Mad Men finale news, loved Don and Peggy meeting up in the theater by accident.
I did think the dogs-fucking-right-outside-her-window was a cheap shot at signifying "Peggy's in Virginia". I'm sure that shit went down in the area she grew up in too. Or with rats.
I don't think it was so much "this is what Virginia's like" as "this is the view Peggy gets at this stage in her career" in contrast to Pete getting the same view as Don. And really, she was still pretty pleased with where she was. As she should be.
Pete getting punched in the face, still a good time by me.
AMC is re-airing Breaking Bad at odd times starting tonight. I've got the DVR catching them all - I suspect seeing the first season will be a very different experience knowing what's happened since.
That was a depressing finale. I mean, everyone in it was depressed, so there's that, but ugh.

Oh yes. Yet another reason to miss Lane. *sniff*
