thanks amy. I was not an HBO subscriber then, so I thought Milch was the one who decided to pull out.
HBO has been fucking up since they didn't fund season 3 of Carnivale, IMO. Just to bring up an old wound.
To be determined... (but it's definitely [NAFDA])

I'd probably switch to Showtime so I can get Dexter live (and Billie Piper as a 'ho).
they had a wierd thing where I had showtime, HBO, etc. Then it suddenly stopped. it was after a storm, so I thought that it might be due to that. They told me that I'd only had it for a 6 month deal. I said okay, and hung up. then I started thinking, not only had I had it for 9 months, it didn't even end when he said that it had ended. So, now I'm wondering if they just forgot and then noticed.
The other weird thing is that he didn't try to upsell me at all. You would think that when a customer calls in upset that they've lost their pay channels that they would try to sell them to you. He was like "whatever"
Did you watch last week's episode?
Well I saw the one with the luchadors and then I went ahead and watched one that recorded last night with the plastic surgery aliens. Sadly, my opinion has not changed.
You don't have to whitefont if it's aired on the East Coast. Of course, what little discussion there has been has been in Boxed Set.
I'm still really enjoying it.
Flight of the Conchords
I've just started watching this on DVD, while waiting for the 1st part of Entourage Season 3 to come in. OMG it's a riot. The guys are so droll. I love Murray and his meetings, complete with roll call. The last ep I watched was the David Bowie-through-the-years visitation thing. Took me a few minutes to figure out who was playing David Bowie. Cracked me up.
eta fixed typo
LOVE CONCHORDS LOVE LOVE!!!
(hmm. fandom seems to have broken my caps lock key. must to investigate.)
eta: the freaky thing about the Bowie ep for me is always how much he reminds me of Eddie Izzard.
I've found Conchords improves on re-watch, because there are so many little things you pick up the second (or fifth) time around (the New Zealand travel posters, for instance). Plus, I can't always absorb the genius inanity of the lyrics in one go sometimes.

I recently rewatched the whole first season and find this to be very true. Half the time I was asking myself "how did I miss that the first time around?" Except Bowie. I loved that episode enormously the first time.

According to my co-worker who spent a month in NZ last summer, the promotional posters in FotC are scarily accurate. And hilarious.

I began paying attention to them after Murray was concluding approving one just as the boys were coming into his office for a band meeting. IIRC, it was a photo of a rock.
Which reminds me of the tourist promotion show, with the Australian guy saying, (paraphrase), well WE'VE got Ayers Rock. Then Jemaine playing along with the tape. Then the list of pros and cons between Bret and the tape and the discussion of them between Murray and Jemaine. "Bret doesn't fit into my pocket very well."
I might have to buy Season so I can rewatch it.
Oh! New Yorkers, what can you tell us about their apartment? It looks like a kind of creep neighborhood to me, but I don't know a thing about New York.
