Anya Christina Emmanuella Jenkins. Twenty years old. Born on the fourth of July — and don't think there weren't jokes about that my whole life, mister, 'cause there were. 'Who's our little patriot?' they'd say, when I was younger and therefore smaller and shorter than I am now.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Loved Roger and Jane lying on the floor of the bedroom contemplating the ceiling together.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I got to point that out to JZ and she's the biggest MSCL fan ever.

Yeah, but I was already thinking "Oh, it's her! Who her? I'll remember in a minute," when you threw me off by saying, "Isn't that Mary Hurt? The girl's mom on My So-Called Life?" So I spent the next few minutes puzzling over whether you meant Mary Kay Place and I'd just missed a bunch of surgeries and weight losses and trying to find Sharon's mom's face in hers.

Don chasing Megan through their apartment was just harrowing to watch--they were both so furious and panicked and totally beyond all control.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Wasn't Bess Armstrong in the mini-series Lace?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Man, I fucking loved "Lace." Trashy and delicious.

Because books.

I loved the book better. Pure popcorn, but with lots of delicious period detail.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Yeah, I can't see how anyone could possibly see that as not violent. It was scary.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

It felt more desperate to me than violent--but, of course, desperation can lead to violence. I thought the Roger/Jane scenes were wonderfully surprising (who thought their marriage would end because of intimacy instead of more fighting?) and beautifully written and acted.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I concur. That was one of the scenes I had in mind when I said Mad Men gives me scenes I've never seen before.

Roger was surprisingly mature about the whole thing.

Always Anti-fascist!

I think, for once, they were on the same page.
