Anya: We should drop a piano on her. It always works for that creepy cartoon rabbit when he's running from that nice man with the speech impediment. Giles: Yes, or perhaps we could paint a convincing fake tunnel on the side of a mountain.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

yep. I find it interesting that he seems to have told her all about Dick Whitman and his poor childhood. I'm trying to figure Megan out:

1) it was obvious that they were playing at scene in their home. No one dismisses the maid, puts on a muumuu over a black bra and panties and starts cleaning the fucking house. I mean WTF?

2) she also was clearly upset when speaking to Peggy

3) she also doesn't seem to want children, but seems okay with Don's kids

4) she doesn't seem to really get Don. As much as Peggy may not know Megan, I am not sure Megan really knows Don outside of the fact she turns him on.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I feel really sad that Peggy doesn't know about Dick. Pete knows. Bert knows. Betty knows. Faye knows. MEGAN knows, and she's known Don the least. I want Peggy to know!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My question for the upcoming season is, who will sleep with the new Negro secretary!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Not Pete, but not for lack of trying.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Judging by his Playboy Bunny dalliance, Lane.

Actually, I was getting a Lane/Joan vibe there in the office.

Also, I was getting a sense that they might throw Joan and Don together. Not to please the shippers but because it would be so disastrous all around.

Me too. I was glad they didn't go there, but I think you may be on to something with Lane/Negro secretary.

NO NO NO. That relationship is like Cordy/Angel to me. NO SEXYTIMES ALLOWED.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I think Lane prefers to keep his sexytimes away from the office. My money's on Roger.

I loved the vibe between Lane and Joan because it was so friendly and respectful! Like actual colleagues.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

My thinking is that they would do Joan/Don because that causes the most narrative havoc (his marriage, their work relationship), but maybe a couple seasons down the line they'd go with Joan/Lane because he respects her so much and she realizes that's what she wants/needs more than sexytimes.

Anyway, I don't want Joan hooking up with any of those guys. I love Working And Respected Joan with her collegial relationships. But it did seem like she was making more noises about Don than I've seen before.
