I was suspicious for a lit of reasons. First, don't you usually access the kidneys from the back? Second, who n their right mind would think that Dewey could get his hands in 20k?

Dewey needed to be able to see the scars, though, and honestly, I wouldn't have known you get to the kidneys through the back.
I think he just wanted Dewey to get his hands on whatever money he could, but it doesn't make a lot of sense, since he took off with nothing.

Oh yeah, Amy, I get that totally, but that's why my radar went up. I think that he planned for Dewey tO get all of the money that he could, then either just take it or knock him out and then pronounce him fixed.

What I didn't follow was how Raylan ended up holding a gun in the bathtub. I figured the charade with the kidneys was more about getting Dewey out of the nurse's hair than a real plan to make money.

The male nurse put Raylans gun in the back of his pants ( there was a long close up and I thought "uh oh", so when the guy fell on to of Raylan, he was able to grab the gun out of the guys pants and shoot her
