Corwood, is that out on DVD? I haven't been checking my Netflix queue and that was one of those things "pending" because it wasn't available yet.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

According to my pre-order, the DVDs come out in July. (And if my pre-order is lying, WANT NOW.)

Art Crawl!!!

They're repeating the show on Sunday nights.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I took me awhile to get into Mad Men. I just couldn't handle it for about the first 3-4 eps. I cannot remember my turning point, but I really started liking the show after around ep 4 or so.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

It took me a while to get past all of the smoking and misogyny. Once I gave that up, it's a great show.

Side note: the theatre show that was up in my theatre has several actors smoking on stage. They smoke an herbal cigarette that smells awfully "herbal". One patron came up to me after the show and asked what our weed budget was.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

Yeah, they just started showing the eps from the beginning last night. One episode in, and it's a killer. My wife loved it, too, but was kidding me about liking a show that full of racism, misogyny, and general bad behavior. What can I say? Almost all of my favorite tv dramas are like that. Jerks are more entertaining than saints.

We've almost finished Breaking Bad, too, which is also extraordinary.

Well, dang. I would have set my TiVo. I missed it last time around for the same reason. If I don't catch the first couple of episodes, I won't watch because I hate not having the set-up and backstory in place. I can wait for July.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

but was kidding me about liking a show that full of racism, misogyny, and general bad behavior.

But it doesn't endorse any of it, and that (for me) was pretty key. It wasn't presented in a ham-handed preachy "OMG PEOPLE USED TO BE SO SEXIST!!!" way, but they don't sugar-coat any of it either - the men in the show, by and large, are pigs. Even the well-meaning ones.

I'm out of synch with the airings, dammit. The one I caught last Sunday was one of the few I'd seen, like, 3 times.

Wait, there are only 7 episodes? [link] Oh! I guess I haven't missed any after all. IMDB has the schedule for upcoming shows, which is nice: [link]

eta: changing first link to titles only, you have to click if you want to see descriptions. 2nd link is also titles only.

Art Crawl!!!

I can't believe that next week is the Riches season finale. I feel like things are still building.
