in part because he seems to inherently trust her, which is so unusual for him.
This is the thing I find most attractive about him. The others want what she offers, but they doubt her...and/or make 'head shrinking' jokes. Nico seems to have complete and solid faith in her. He also, unquestioningly, has her back. Another wildly attractive feature.
I think early in the season, TK hit a civilian heckler with a cell phone in a club
I've been trying to remember, and I believe he has a history of doing that, more than once. The team's handlers just pay off whoever he hits to make it go away (he made comments to her about it early in the show.) So he has made a lot of progess, but no, he has not always regarded civilians as off-limits.
Dang, Breaking Bad, that was . . . eventful.
Gustavo Fring: badass or BIGGEST badass?
I wonder how long it will take him to follow up on the "Jesse" thing.
Gustavo is a serious BADASS. And Jesse also performed admirably. I think in the internal struggles of Jesse and Walter, Jesse is gaining self confidence and a sense of belonging and Walter is feelin increasingly down, lost, and isolated.
Just caught up with the episode last night, and I think my hair is still standing up this morning.
Aaron Paul (Jesse) is having a really good run, isn't he? I expect great things from Giancarlo Esposito, but Paul is going all out.
Also, Jesse's always been a bit like The Other Son to Walt, so I'm not surprised at the slip that Walt made. And, yeah, I think that's going to have repercussions. Walt Jr is one smart kid, comfortable with overcoming adversity and obstacles.
The whole scene with Walt talking about his only real memory of his father was so revealing -- it goes to why Walt is so obsessed with the
surface
of his relationship with his family -- at the expense of frantically building a bigger and stronger facade that he has to keep up at all costs.
As for Fring... wow. Talk about cold revenge, waited for, delivered with Spockian calm. Just the bathroom scene alone, precisely folding his jacket, putting a towel down on the floor for keeping his trousers clean, knowing what is going on outside (or should be).
Want to bet Gus used the same poison that Walt wanted to use on him?
Jesus motherfucking holy Christ,
Breaking Bad.
I have enough stress in my life without being stressed out about fictional characters. I was practically tearing out my hair and crying by the end there.
Gustavo is a serious BADASS.
At this point, Gus Fring is easily one of the best villains of all time, and I don't know whether I want him to live and be awesome or DIE IN ALL THE FIRES for threatening to kill Walt's
infant daughter.
Goddamn, Giancarlo Esposito. In the hands of a lesser actor, that could have been laughably over-the-top, but he made it cold and chilling and completely believable.
