"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Whoa, Mad Men got 19 Emmy noms.

My favorite?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I feel good about the Emmy nominations in general -- Justified the show didn't get nominated, but Olyphant, Goggins, AND Margo Martindale (supporting) AND Jeremy Davies (guest) did.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Margo is the one I am happiest about.

Because books.

I can't believe Justified didn't get nominated for the show. But I'm thrilled about Goggins and Martindale.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, if Margo didn't earn her a nom, I don't know what would have.

And also, yay for Miss Blankenship!

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I'm curious why Margo got "supporting" and Davies got "guest". Weren't they in the same number of episodes, roughly. I guess Margo got more screen time in toto.

If you're billed as a guest star in a bunch of episodes, apparently you get to pick which category to enter. [link]

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Um, is there anyone who didn't know that the painting was in the Wurlitzer?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

If you put a pipe organ on the mantlepiece in Act 1, you have to use it by Act 3...
