Did Brandi get a personality transplant from the first season or is it just me?
There has been an episode or two suggesting Brandi had hidden depths, such as the one where she helped the older Native American man get medical treatment. I suspect the show's currently pushing a "Love of a Good Man Transforms Her" subplot. Which is time I'd rather spend watching Mary threaten recalcitrant witnesses.
