I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Though, rewatching the end, she doesn't make the decision until Raylan tells her that Doyle's dead.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Because he can't think two seconds ahead when he thinks that he'll get to be a badass. He was all confident when he was shooting Helen and Ava (both of whom were holding guns, interestingly), but the second he was with someone that he knew would shoot him, he caved like a sack of rotten potatoes.

Yeah, he's an interesting character. I loathe him. I am always rooting for whoever is pointing a gun at him to shoot and yet, I am going to admit he's interesting and he stops being interesting when he's dead. Unlike Mags who I think is staying interesting.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

When she decided episode that she's stay in Harlan County rather than relocate with the grandkids, I think it became inevitable that sooner or later she'd be spiking her own apple pie.

I hope Ava recovers okay. I don't even know what to think about Winona, except she did (I presume) convince Art to go back Raylan up.

OMG that scene! When Raylan was telling her that, I was actually yelling at the screen "TELL HER IT WASN'T YOU!!!"

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

very dumb luck

This is so key to his existence.

Heh. This made me laugh, because I was right there with you.

Winona irks me.

Yup. Although she did a lot to let me tolerate her by sending the calvary after Raylan. Doyle got shot and I wasn't sure what was happening and then all the uniforms started appearing. There may have been an air punch. Yay! Art still loves him!

But I was nervous as heck with Art, Tim and Rachel all on the scene, I tell you what.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Am I the only one un-irked by Winona? Yeah, she's flawed, but who isn't? And while I love Raylon to death and would shag him forty ways from Sunday, I'm thinking that being in a relationship with him would be pretty tiring.

Speaking of Winona... did we ever get an explanation for where she was or why she was being squirrelly?

She doesn't, as a rule, bother me. But the way she was written / played during the money thing where she just blithely assumed Raylan would save her did bug. Otherwise though? No, I think she's just another flawed person and I think that would be a very hard marriage to be in, so I get why she ditched it the first time.

I like Winona well enough, but I suspect both she and Raylan might be better off not together. OTOH, he was meltingly happy when she said she was pregnant, and that goes a long way. Uh, for me to root for those crazy kids, not necessarily for making the characters actually lastingly satisfied, to be clear.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Winona as mum. Me? Not so resplendent with joy at the thought.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Winona strikes me as kind of selfish, not sure that she would make a good mom. I was very unhappy with the whole money thing, not because she did it, but because she expected Raylan to make it better.
