Cable Drama: Still Waiting for the Cable Guy to Show Up with the Thread Name...

To be determined... (but it's definitely [NAFDA])

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I clicked on a link I didn't realise was to a Parker/Eliot community. And they're all really mad about the ongoing lack of consummation of P/E and bemoaning the lack of chemistry of P/H.

Wha...? I mean, I get someone liking the idea of P/E, but frick, are they actually watching the show at all?

It's bizarre, the flavors of crazy that human brains can invent. There are fans whose sole interest in any show is to pick a 'ship and then demand that the whole show revolve around that 'ship. The crazier ones of the crazies pick non-canon 'ships, or shows that just don't focus on 'ships, I guess to make it unlikely that they will ever get what they want, so they'll get to complain and feel "persecuted" a lot. It's just weird.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I can see P/E. But compared to P/H or H/E (or all three)? Doesn't even rate.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Yeah--I mean, ship what you like, but the show's been pretty clear that Parker/Hardison is endgame and P/E is filial, so the fan that's spitting nails? Just setting themselves up for ongoing pain.

Exercise your needs in fanfiction, and don't hold it against the show. They've been really clear about what they're doing so far.

I mean, they could change their minds, but they've been pretty consistent so far, so to complain they haven't changed their minds yet. Weirdos.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I am trying to think of who I would pair with Elliot. Not Parker.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

So far? Eliot gets the guest star. I think he's gotten the most, canonically. Which, to me, fits the character.

But the P/H 'ship is the one the show itself is showcasing. And I adore it because they are so sparky and yet awkward with each other.

Always Anti-fascist!

I love Parker/Hardison. I mean, a ficcer could probably make a case I could buy for lots of combinations, but it's not because Parker/Hardison is wrong. also, I love pretzels.

I could have seen some casual Eliot/Sophie at some points.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Eliot/Sophie

Oh, def. Yum. And of course I keep holding out hope for Hardison/Eliot, but not in a craxy demanding way, just in an I'm-so-wired-that-way way. But point is, H/P is delightful and putting it down because your elaborate fantasy is Actual Trufax In Your Mind is just... yeah.

And in let-me-show-you-my-hyphen-abusing-id news, I apparently want to see Eliot and/or Hardison with anyone and/or anyone.

I discovered that I can ship Parker/Hardison/just about anyone. Especially crossovers. Damn. White Collar, Justified, and Supernatural for starters.
