That's disturbing. You're emotionally scarred and will end up badly.

Compassionately intolerant

How better to not get busted?

Plus, access to the people and materials you need to do pretty much anything you want.

Before I went to work with the cops, my cynicism was huge, after? Ironclad.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad the police exist, but I have no illusions as to the nobility of some of the individuals in that fine institution.

Justified shows both ends of the spectrum in a fairly realistic way.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I think Coover definitely did it to spook Loretta. I thought the actor did an amazing job with his freak out--the sense of hurt and rage was really intense. And Jeremy Davies is knocking it out of the park.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Finally caught myself up on Justified, woot! It's weird watching it so fast and not having time to mull over each episode. Are these eps more arc-y than season 1's? I feel like I'm missing some good standalones. Or maybe that there's more mini-arcs (Kyle, Carol). Mags is delish, and Jeremy Davies always delights me. I'm also digging Ava more now. I really didn't like the comedy of errors ep with Winona and the bag of money, though. Truly did not enjoy on any level.

On a shallow note, as much as love the Boyd, his obviously blowdryed and badly hairsprayed hair is bugging. But I love that he keeps trying for the straight and narrow, and peoples perception of him keep dragging him down. And yet, he keeps making the most/best of bad situations. Heh, Boyd keeps getting dragged into trouble by "bad" people, Raylan by supposed law-abiding citizens.

“Not dead yet!”

So hour three of The Killing moved along nicely tonight, I thought. I didn't want to shove anyone's teeth down their throat other than maybe Gwen, who I suspect hacked into Jamie's account to send that email.

But you know, it's pretty brilliant, making me feel sympathetic towards Jamie, considering how amazingly skeevy he is.

Art Crawl!!!

I found myself confused by that whole storyline because it seemed like the candidate set the whole thing up himself.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Re: Justified- so relieved that the Loretta thing exploded and is now hopefully over, I've been on pins and needles ever since Mags killed her dad.

OMG, Coover- you are (were) one scary, scary dude. A giant strong as hell man-child with no emotional stability whatsoever. Even for that goddamn family. He scared the shit out of me, and I'm glad he's dead. I was very concerned during the fight with Raylan, though, given that we were shown Raylan getting his ass handed to him by Coover quite handily a couple episodes ago.

AND OMG MAGS- you are *terrifying*. Her last scene chilled me to the bone.

I feel sorry for Dickie. But, damn, he could teach a class on How Not To Calm A Sociopath Down. WHOA.

Yay, awesome Ava! Yay, lack of Winona! I really did love her before these goddamn box of money shenanigans.

Boo, lack of Art. Neutral on Carol (???). She was somewhat badass, and an interesting foil for Mags. Also, I don't understand Boyd's plan? Didn't Arlo tell him to go to hell? Did we see him change his mind?

Anyway, pretty good stuff- would like to get back to the MOTW eps though.

would like to get back to the MOTW eps though.

In the one offs, where some of the bad guys are fairly sympathetic Monster of the Week does not quite always fit. M_F_R of the week?

Heh, absolutely the Monster label doesn't usually quite fit (except for Coover, shiver. And that dude that Gary keeps going to for money) but I liked it as shorthand.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Also, I don't understand Boyd's plan? Didn't Arlo tell him to go to hell? Did we see him change his mind?

We didn't see it,but presumably Boyd explained what Mags was up to with the property and talked Arlo into letting Boyd get him a piece of it, with a cut for Boyd. Arlo does love a good scheme, and is recently out the money Helen gave back to Raylan, so I can see him throwing in with Boyd, especially since he has a history of working with Crowders and not with Bennets.

Poor Helen. I feel bad for her too.
