Cable Drama: Still Waiting for the Cable Guy to Show Up with the Thread Name...
To be determined... (but it's definitely [NAFDA])
Also, isn't the sheriff the smartest of the three?
Also, isn't the sheriff the smartest of the three?
That's certainly the impression I get.
eta: I might be willing to cop to Dickie having a higher IQ or something (I don't think we've been given the evidence one way or the other), but at the very least, Doyle's the one who's got more common sense...as evidenced by Dickie instigating all these incidents that were bound to Piss Off Mags, which we have been shown is not a wise course.
Dickie seems more sly, though. Doyle's not quite as Blunt Instrument as Coover, but I think without Mags keeping him in check, he wouldn't be where he is now. The impression I got was that Dickie would have been the alpha Bennett (the male alpha, anyway) if he hadn't been injured.
That's interesting...could very well be that the injury is what's keeping him from being the Alpha son...and with Mags talking to him like that, I wouldn't be surprised to see him pulling a Prince Jon/Iago/insert sly villain of your choice here...and maybe these moves that look like greedy dumbassery (especially with Coover there to make him look dumber) are actually testing the boundaries or making preliminary moves to set up something bigger down the road apiece...Veeery Interesting.
Re: Tonight's Justified -- Ooooh, I'm betting Raylan's going to get to shoot at least one bad guy by the end of the episode. (And he's been trying so hard to restrain himself!)
You know, everyone that Raylan is related to by blood or marriage seems to do nothing but get him into trouble.
What was it Boyd said, he draws trouble?
Man, that episode couldn't a been more Elmore Leonardy. Awesome.
The slow chase was so sad it was funny -- which was the idea, I suppose.
The slow chase was hilarious. I also loved the Harlan County bit.
