Wait, what was the original book?

I get asked every week by Justified fans new to Elmore’s work which books has Raylan appeared in. The answer is three. Two novels: Pronto (1993) and Riding the Rap (1995) and one novella, Fire in the Hole (upon which Justified is based,) in the story collection, When the Women Come Out to Dance (2002).
I'm reading Pronto and so far it's been loosely the story of the episode with the "dentist". Raylan and Winona's backstory is slightly different. But it's Raylan when he talks.
I did not know Justified was based on a work by Elmore Leonard. I love his books. I should track those down.
Oh, man, I love the actress who plays Mrs. Bennett. She was also wonderful in the last segment of Paris, Je T'Aime.
YAY JUSTIFIED.
My god, what is wrong with my linking ability this month?
I will change it.

Yes! And Now as said upthread he is so pleased he is inspired to write more Raylan! Everybody wins!
The pilot is based on Fire in the Hole, except after the fact they decided not to kill off Boyd, which is what happens in the story and how they had actually shot the pilot. And thank goodness for that!
Yes, somehow, they quickly realized the worth of the Boyd/Raylen before the aired the pilot and shot the rest of the season.
Also, season 2 of Justified is already available for pre-order on Amazon.
That was awesome. I loved the girl and hope we see more of her. And yeah, that was some super creepy shit. Also, I loved that Raylan still found a way to shoot someone.
Where the heck is Ava?
I just saw a new to me White Collar ad on USA, and I think even the ads are now gayer than Angel.
