Art Crawl!!!

Seeing this picture of Jon Hamm and Mary Lynn Rajskub made me think of how amusing it would be to have Chloe on Mad Men.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

would you go on a first date in a short skirt and no stockings without shaving your legs

No.

if you were the sort of woman who would use not shaving your legs as an excuse to not have sex?

I know there are men who are turned off by leg hair, and I can imagine a woman using that to avoid sex, but I can't imagine saying, "I can't have sex tonight because my legs are hairy." Humans are weird.

I was laughing at the idea of Rizzoli being butch. And yeah, I can't see R/I either, despite how often they fall asleep in the same bed.

As a man unshaven legs would never deter me from having sex with a woman if circumstance were otherwise right. I suspect that on this I speak for most men sexually interested in women (which come to think of it is an important part of circumstances being right).

Huh. Did not know this. Is that common?

There seems to be a bit of a generational divide on body hair. Youngsters seem to trend to the, "Yuck! Grody!" side.

Back in the 70s, male chest hair was considered very sexy, and lots of women stopped shaving their pits.

Nowadays, depilatory is seen as regular grooming with a preference for landing strips and brazilians as well. Plus lots of guys wax their chests.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

As a preference/beauty standard, sure. But to the point where "she hadn't shaved her legs in a month!" is a dealbreaker?

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

That's why I asked who the excuse was for. Because it sounds like one of those lame "I have to wash my hair" excuses for people that can't seem to figure out how to say "not interested."

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I think it's supposed to be like wearing underwear you wouldn't want anyone to see, a mental deterrent for the woman. Which would only work if she knew her legs were unshaven but it wasn't obvious to her date. So the short skirt no hose thing is confounding.

It's all highly theoretical to me, though.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Maybe "legs" was a euphemism for pubic hair?

Not javachik

Male chest hair is totally sexy and so are full beards. Goatees will do.

That's crazy. So there's a generation growing up that doesn't know what the natural look actually looks like?!
