Harrow: You didn't have to wound that man. Mal: Yeah, I know, it was just funny.

“Not dead yet!”

Sorry, I adore anyone played by Tom Skerrit.

Me too. I loved him as Drum Eatonton in Steel Magnolias. And as... well, pretty much any character he's played.

Compassionately intolerant

Totally off topic and wrong-thready, though the show does appear on cable...

Dee Snider

I have to say, I am absolutely delighted with Growing Up Twisted. Snider is such a loving father and the family seems so...normal. It kind of makes my heart ache while I'm grinning like a fool. And frankly, GUT makes Gene Simmons' show pale so much in comparison as to virtually disappear.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Skerrit love: M*A*S*H, Top Gun, Alien. Oh yeah, practically anything he's in, ever.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Alien?

I have seen that movie I don't know how many times and I don't remember him in it.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I have seen that movie I don't know how many times and I don't remember him in it.

He was the captain of the ship. He gets taken out about halfway through the movie in the air shaft, although there was a deleted scene where Ripley finds him and Harry Dean cocooned up and impregnated, and he has her torch them with a flame thrower.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Wow.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I, too, have the meta-adoration for Tom Skerrit's characters. This is based entirely on my mad love for the other Jimmy on his resume...Jimmy Brock in Picket Fences. Love, love, love.

Yes, that is where my adoration comes from too.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Are we talking about Rubicon in here? We just started watching and I want to know what Buffistas think about it!

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I like it!

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I still have it on the Tivo, I need to check it out.
