Hmmm. It looks tepid.

Cable Drama: Still Waiting for the Cable Guy to Show Up with the Thread Name...
To be determined... (but it's definitely [NAFDA])
Also, the premise as is is is unsustainable. She can run rings around them and keep picking them off? They don't look that big. Either she wipes them out in a season, or they wipe her out. To avoid that at some point a compromise will be reached where she ends up working for them/with them in a relationship of mutual loathing and distrust. Which is more or less the premise of the orignal Nikita. But as ita says not optimistic.
Now what might have been interesting is instead of elite assasins to have made them more like real assassination squads - i.e. death squads of the sort the U.S. has supported and funded all over the world, but brought home. Instead of a highly covert agency, an open secret where it is officially denied they exist, but everyone knows about them and knows they are tolerated and supported by the government. I guess at this point nothing is left of the Nikita plot, because party-girl turned drug-crazed criminal turned elite assassin was the core of the premise. But death squads in a nominally democratic nations ( could make for some really good story telling. Not without historical precedent - even in the U.S. Vigilantes in the early West, and the KKK post-Civil war through mid 20th century. Illegally, tolerated, the law looks the other way and often they are the law. And the fight against them is always tough with the political and social dimensions being critical. Even though sparked by Nikita, I guess nothing to do with it. Something you would need someone along the lines of David Simon to write. Umm but you could totally have an Asian lead...
I don't know what it says about me that three people forwarded the link to the Bushy Top nuptials...I feel like I should be less overt about these things in the future.(She's beautiful...kind of like what would happen if I had a love child with Joan Holloway.)
Wow! He never really pinged me on Chuck, but he's pinging me now!
Rayne, I was going to say! Bryce on Chuck was whatever, but Neal? Mmm hmmm.
Heh... I've added White Collar to my Season Pass, so I'll be checking him out very soon!
Scrappy, I kind of hope you are right about Rescue Me, or else they are back to sloppy, unreal writing(ie...the baby as plot device in season 4)
AMC is running Best-of marathons of Mad Men on Mondays this month. Starts tonight.
eta: what show I was talking about! d'oh!
FYI, a truly epic Walton Goggins picspam: [link]
Shit, you know, I'm going all through that epic picspam!
They quote this awesomeness, which I wanted to repeat:
Let us take a moment to meditate on the awesomeness of Raylan's prayer.
"Dear Lord, before we eat this meal, we ask forgiveness for our sins, especially Boyd, who blew up a black church with a rocket launcher and afterwards shot his associate Jared Hale in the back of the head out on Tates Creek bridge. Let the image of Jared’s brain matter on that windshield not dampen our appetites, but may the knowledge of Boyd’s past sins help guide these men. May this food provide all the nourishment they need, but if it does not, may they find comfort in knowing that the United States Marshals Service is offering fifty thousand dollars to any individual providing information that will put Boyd back in prison. Cash or check, we can make it out to them or to Jesus, whoever they want. In Your name we pray, amen."
I love how chill Boyd is about it.
Man, that was a truly epic picspam. Totally excellent. Thank you.
I need Justified dvds RIGHT NOW.
