"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I'll give it a shot. somehow, i think that she hits a guy while drunk, who isn't quite dead, decides to kill him, then sees the light or something, and then is all saved and whatnot?

Thrive to spite them

Okay, I found some more information. She hits the guy, calls out to God who sends an angel and they make Holly Hunter a deal - the accident will be taken away if she changes her embittered ways. She agrees, the accident never happened, and the angel sticks around to make sure that she actually does change her ways and the "unique series" is about her struggle for redemption.

Also her sister died in the Oklahoma City bombing, and besides drinking too much she's having an affair with her married partner.

Always Anti-fascist!

Dude, that's "Rescue Me" with tits. More or less. Don't ya think? Would love it if she has a dirty dream about Mary Magdalene.ETA: that I'll probably try to watch it anyway, but the "unique" thing...might be reaching by a speck.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I like Holly Hunter. If the angel is like the ones in A Life Less Ordinary, that could be an intersting show.

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

What drives me nuts about the commercials for Saving Grace is that they use the longest, most drawn out version possible of "Ama-a-a-a-a-a-a-zing Gra-a-a-a-a-a-a-ce" for the soundtrack. Sets my teeth on edge every time I hear it.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I loved this week's The Closer. sumi, I agree with your assessment. I like how they are carrying threads through this season, like the house hunting and the budget concerns. I'm wondering if that I am reading too much into it or if they were referencing Evelyn Waugh's The Loved One. They used that term and then there was the reference to all of the plastic surgery on the dead girl.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Mad Men! I've seen the pilot, and it's made of awesome -- sharp and funny and VK plays a great really hot smarmy little shit.

The period gender politics are a little on the nose, but pilots tend to hit that sort of thing harder than regular episodes, and for the most part it's very smartly done.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

And Rich Sommer! Doesn't anyone care about Rich? Just me? All right then.
