Cable Drama: Still Waiting for the Cable Guy to Show Up with the Thread Name...

To be determined... (but it's definitely [NAFDA])

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Basic idea is, she's an unpleasant person with a guardian angel, right? Somebody spoil me!

She seems to be tasked with saving (black) people. She doesn't do a very good job--one goes to the lethal injection and another ODs on drugs. And she dies exploding a demon.

I'm not sure it would be fair to say there were subtleties inbetween. Arc was not the show's strength, IMO.

Because it needs a separate post...ALDIS.

Damn. Worse yet, he's doing arts I really like (okay, I kinda like all of them, done well--but stick fighting is a longtime weakness). The handslapping during the sparring? Whoa.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

And she dies exploding a demon.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna spare myself the watching of that show.

ALDIS

Twitter has truly enriched my life.

And you know I dig demons. But this was mega random.

I am so sad that we'll never get to see Hardison fighting competently on Leverage. I dig it, but damn. What a waste of a multi-displinary talent.

He should do other stuff, with the combat, and the glayvin.

Zen--what was up with the people on John's blog saying Parker and Hardison have no chemistry? Heresy!

I realise I don't know how I feel about Nate/Sophie, because I feel Nate/Maggie is perfectly workable too, and I can't pick one over the other. But I like that all the ships on the show have problems. That's cool.

In season 6...

Fuck if I know. Are they blind?

I realise I don't know how I feel about Nate/Sophie, because I feel Nate/Maggie is perfectly workable too, and I can't pick one over the other.

I think Nate/Maggie is essentially done. They care about each other and there's still a spark, but the relationship couldn't survive Sam's death and Nate's meltdown. (Maggie is stronger than Nate emotionally, which I think was well and subtly shown in every scene with the two of them dealing with Sam's death.) Maggie doesn't fit into Nate's new world. Sophie does. Sophie always fit a part of Nate, but their relationship couldn't go forward until he admitted that part of him existed. I'm happy to see what comes next for them. But by the end of the season they need to be either Together or definitively Not Together! I'm okay either way, but this part of the story needs to resolve. (And Tim Hutton needs to get lots more opportunities to kiss people, so I can watch.)

Friend chemistry. The hell? That's what Eliot and Parker have, when I'm not wearing my OT3 hat. Stork Job sent my shippery heart crazy.

Tim Hutton needs to get lots more opportunities to kiss people

I swear I was anti-ship until the almost kiss...and then I was...whatever gets him to do that more. But consummation isn't important for me, though. I'm more invested in seeing Parker and Hardison move towards something.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

My favorite little P/H moment was in The Ice Man Job, when she's just yanked him into the closet or whatever it was, out of the main vault, and they're standing pressed up against each other in that tiny space, with their foreheads resting together, and it was so sweet and tender and poignant. And then the det cord blew.

I'm saying this to John Rogers on Twitter:

ita and I have agreed that Tim Hutton needs to get lots more opportunities to kiss people. Can you make that happen, please?

unless you don't want me to. Think it'll work?

Heh. Go ahead. I'm willing to cosign that opinion.

with their foreheads resting together

Oh, that was a moment. There was a look. I don't know how anyone could have not seen that.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

you need to add something about Aldis being shirtless, or dressed as a priest!
