Well, personally, I kind of want to slay the dragon.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

What the heck was up with Michael's accent last night on Burn Notice? It was more awful than usual.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I honestly think he was doing the Terminator minus the Austrian part, at least in the scene where they went into Khan's compound...

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Leverage got 3 Saturn nominations. Best Syndicated/Cable Television Series, Best Supporting Actor on Television (Aldis Hodge), Best Supporting Actress on Television (Gina Bellman).

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Congrats to Aldis, but no way he's making it past John Noble.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Man. Just watched Justified. That was awesome and I will so be rewatching. My brain seems to think that gut shots do not have good survival rates (potential for intestinal bacteria to flood the cavity) but 1) I think I learned that from tv or movies so grain of salt and 2) don't matter anyway, if they want him alive Johnny will be alive.

Where did I learn about gut shots? That's going to bug me.

I may have to hunt down some of the music from this show.

Gut shots are slow kills. You are more likely to die of infection than organ failure or blood loss.

Which I learnt from krav.

Compassionately intolerant

smonster, my awareness of gut shots has come from Civil War history and the toll of septicemia on the troops. ita is right, you are more likely to die of infection, organ and blood loss, but taking a shot to the gut speeds that process up considerably.

The Walter Reed museum of medical oddities taught me a lot about such things. Also, people can have hairballs...but that's another story.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.
