Wow, I'm surprised there has been no comment on this week's Justified (granted, I'm catching up on it late myself). I thought it was the darkest episode yet, in some respects. Lots of good Boyd moments, and yet another in the unexpected shooting series they've been running so far.

Boyd's getting interesting. Predictably, Raylan coming over the table at him had me riveted, but the way Boyd just stood there until the guards dragged Raylan away was unexpectedly cool.
Sad to see the guy from Life in the drug trade.
I am worried for everyone on Breaking Bad. Terrible terribleness is coming for them all, I fear.
I really want to make a Breaking Baa joke now, but I'm not worthy.

Justified: I enjoyed Boyd very much as usual. The episode as a whole I found to be good entertainment, but I'd say it was my least favorite so far. It was interesting watching Winona and trying to judge her motivation.
But there was something missing for me this week.

Oh, I'd say that it's classic "I may or may not want you, but I don't want anyone else to have you either". I suspect that she left him not because she didn't love him, but because he wasn't giving her what she needed. And perhaps last week's convo where he apologized has made her rethink her decision.

I don't know, there's definitely still some Winona-Raylan sparkage, but I think there was some genuine here's-what-you're-getting-into kindness when she was talking to Ava. Probably came out of W remembering exactly why she left as well as remembering why she fell in love with him originally.
I'm not completely convinced her new husband is a weasel, either. He very well could be, but I'm not sure (a) that Raylan is at all objective about him or (b) whatever Winona was looking into is necessarily about him.
