The most recent Justified was my favorite so far.

Cable Drama: Still Waiting for the Cable Guy to Show Up with the Thread Name...
To be determined... (but it's definitely [NAFDA])
Stephanie, what is it about Justified that is causing it to grow on you? I ask you because I saw your reaction to the first ep was similar to ours. We watched because we are big with the Olyphant love, but were kind of meh on it. It was well-done, nothing wrong with it, but it didn't inspire us to watch more.
Caught up on Justified, thanks to Hulu. I really like it that the criminals on this show are just people. They have lives and personalities and do unexpected things and sometimes I actually give a shit about them and don't want them to die. The criminals so far have been better rounded as characters than any of the main cast except for Raylan.
I've seen this filming around town, but I didn't know it was from Burn Notice guy. The Good Guys [link]
Once upon the 1970s, DAN STARK (Bradley Whitford) and his partner, Frank Savage, were big-shot Dallas detectives. So big, in fact, that they were lauded as American heroes after saving the Governor’s son. Thirty years later, Dan Stark is a washed-up detective who spends most of his time drunk or re-hashing his glory days. A stranger to modern police work who would much rather trust his old-school police instincts, Dan has the reputation as being a bit of a wild card. Able to skate by on the heroic deeds of his yesteryear, he is still a semi-active presence on the force, and with the help of his liquor of choice, occasionally comes through to solve a petty crime.
Dan’s new partner, JACK BAILEY (Colin Hanks), is an ambitious, by-the-book and overall good detective, but is sometimes a bit too snarky for his own good. His habit of undermining himself has earned him a dead-end position in the department, and he is stuck solving annoying petty theft cases that nobody else wants. Worse, he’s been given the thankless task of babysitting Dan, the drunk pariah who can never keep partners for long. Jack may not see it, but he has little chance of getting out of his situation; his knack for making enemies at the station has assured he is not going anywhere.
Is it going to be on TNT?
I thought so, but no. It's on FOX. Apparently no one's told Matt Nix about their rep.
Someone needs to tell him to run away fast if Friday night comes up.
Wow, just caught up on the opening act for Justified. Watching the show without that really left so much out of my viewing experience. Like this Aunt Helen person being the same person as Raylan's stepmom, why the heck he was doing yardwork, the baseball bat stretch... Have to rewatch in entirety to get a better vibe.
Also, Raylan's umbrage at Rachel's suicide-by-carbon-monoxide snark was hilarious.
I like that Arlo started out the charming guy that you hate as a child *because* they're charming, and he turns into something darker. Because I was kinda groaning thinking it would just be the first part (but, I had also missed the house-trashing and the nut-crunching.)
I did love all of Raylan's dread and constant trying to distance himself and his constant being pulled back in.
I think that was the least "fun" episode so far, but I really liked it. It explained a lot of why Raylan is who he is.
