SLNRLBF and I just finished watching Leverage on Netflix -- when does it come back?
Host ,'Why We Fight'
Cable Drama: Still Waiting for the Cable Guy to Show Up with the Thread Name...
To be determined... (but it's definitely [NAFDA])
June, askye. Isn't it brilliant?
I had watched it and read some of the comments but I didn't really know what was going on.
And Nate is so broken, with what he said on the phone to Sophie, and then at the end when he was bleeding. Everytime they cut back the pool of blood was bigger.
I hated the fake psychic guy and really wanted to see Elliot hurt him because he made Parker cry and that's wrong.
And just seeing Nate going off the rails slowly I don't know how they are going to get him out of jail, or if he'll want to get out of jail but I can't wait until June.
Also overall I liked Tara. She wasn't Sophie but she wasn't bad either. I hope they bring her back at some point for a guest thing.
Although if the writers had written out Sophie and brought in Tara rather than the actress being on maternity leave I probably would have thought differently.
Mostly I'm looking forward to the character development, not just Nate's but everyone's.
and I think she may go back and have a better look.
This is definitely a show that has multiple layers of viewing enjoyment.
At first I was just enjoying it superficially, fluffy fun, a bit refreshing with the smart straight-man and the smart cool wife. When the mid-season finale hit, I realized that this show needed to be paid attention to, and then the rewatches brought me to the love story of Neal and Peter.
I still can't understand how they failed so hard with Cruz, to the point where they were actually excluding her from eps. Someone said at TWoP that it's odd since she was awesome on a show chock-full of awesome, and another pointed out that she was the only one written to be antagonistic on the team dealing directly with Neal, and that the hostility was a glaring sore thumb. But that still could have been worked around, with her warming up to Neal incrementaly while still remaining immune.
I'm not sure if I want her to fade away permanently, with or without a mention of her departure off-screen, or if I want her to become relevant and exposed as a mole, because then I'm afraid I'd be mad that she'd left just when she got interesting. Not that I can remember if she is officially off the show or if this is an assumption based on her absenteeism and Diane's wonderful reappearance for the finale. Seriously, within a minute of her being back onscreen on the park bench, there was warmth, personality, a sense of intelligence and competence and an enjoyment of watching her. With Cruz, if she wasn't fading into the background, it was hostile and smug and full of friction, and not even relevant friction.
Jeff Eastin, in his tweets, had asked people to come up with a WC drinking game, in an underhanded way to see what was repetitive and predictable. Which makes me hopeful that he's smart enough to recognize what doesn't work and disband with it. BTW, "KATE!" was the one of the top three "Drink!" prompts.
About Cruz's participation in episodes (possible spoilers for next season too): she's got four movies listed for 2010, so it might just have been availability that undercut her.
askye has made me fire up The Nigerian Job. Eliot's hair is so little!
After reading all the comments I want to watch White Collar but I couldn't find it streaming -- well Hulu only has the last few episodes, so I put it on Save on Netflix.
The Evolution of Elliot's hair is quite interesting. Someone needs to make photo timeline.
Although more than his hair I love his voice..it's just yum.
I don't know why I expected WC to be out on DVD already, but I looked for it at Target. Went for the first two seasons of Friday Night Lights instead. (Two-season value pack for $29, for them what cares.)
Is anyone watching Survivors on BBCA? I kinda like it and kinda don`t and I think the murderer/ex-con dude is hot. I started it when I was sick, mildly, not realizing the apocalyptic premise is flu. And I`m clearly watching out of order, so some of the character development is lost on me.
I love his voice..it's just yum.
You've heard Christian Kane sing, right? Yum.
Amazon.com has White Collar streaming/download, but it costs $1.99/episode.
