I'm skeptical about there not being authorial intent. I think SGA is about as far as you can push slash without the writers being in on it.

Cable Drama: Still Waiting for the Cable Guy to Show Up with the Thread Name...
To be determined... (but it's definitely [NAFDA])
Speaking of which, there's someone named Ronon on my conference call.
Gay like hobbits. Heh.
I'm right there with Perkins on the OT3. I never would have thought I'd be loving a Tiffani Theissen character! But I am!

I know. She and Brian Austin Green have really...surprised me.
I'm reading the Guardian UK blog covering Mad Man's S3 as it plays there and they just got to the episode where Pete has sex with the au pair (and Don and Betty are in Rome).
And it's funny how Pete's behavior is seen in a different culture, because over here everybody seemed to see it as very clearly rape, over there it's reading as "not quite consensual."
Whereas in Pete's era it was merely a breach of neighborly etiquette.
I don't think it's possible these days for producers not to be aware of homoerotic readings of the text.
I had hopes for Brian Austin Green because David was my favourite 90210 character (he *way* exceeded them). But TT? I never saw that one coming. I was just hoping for minimal negative impact. But she's been great. She's made the most of every moment of her screentime.
eta: I still think Aragorn and Legolas were gayer than the hobbits. Which is saying a lot, but rilly.

Gayer than "I'm so very glad to be with you, Sam, at the end of all things?" Gayer than Merry and Pippin? I'm afraid I must respectfully disagree.
"You're late" and the inner-thigh touching and eyefucking in RotK? I thought Aragorn was going to marry Leggy for a moment there. Sam and Frodo are stern (see what I didn't do there?) competition, but they have Pippin and Merry handily beaten.
Bwah! Yeah, the thigh touching...excuse me just a moment. Apparently I have a thing about thigh touching, what with sculptural thighs and all. Okay, I'm back, yes.
Theirloveissopure. There's no way there's no authorial or directorial intent. I have had some good strong working relationships, but I have never cried over the parting of them. Seeing off the SO, watching him get on a train, knowing that all of our life was about to change and I was going to turn around and walk away? Cried like Neal. Worked out okay for me in the end, so I have hopes for Neal and Peter, but seriously, that's not the dissolving of a strong business partnership there, that's romance.
And yes, how shocking is it that I'm loving Tiffani-Amber! Sorry, can't help the name extension. I would not have believed it was her. But she's doing a damn fine job with what turns out to be a nuanced role, so more power to her. She is also very pretty in a surprisingly not entirely hollywooded way for someone who grew up in the industry.
Oh! And I was totally disappointed we didn't get to even hear the music box. Come on, you agonize over it, you finally get it, you don't prop the lid open, even momentarily? I love creepy montages over tinkly music box music and we didn't get the one I'd been expecting all season!
