And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

The way that Neal says Peter's name is a love letter in itself. It's like it has eight extra syllables in it, and they all say, "I love you."

Trust my rage

The way that Neal says Peter's name is a love letter in itself.

Exactly. He put so much in that word. I rewatched last night trying to imagine what he would say besides "I love you" or "I can't leave you" or something similar.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Did anyone get a whiff of Casablanca at the airport scene?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Damn, you just made me go back and watch the ending. Again. And again. And again. Theirloveissopure.

We still have absolutely no idea why the music box is so important.

My gut instinct is that Alex provided Matt with a fake when she "returned" it.

(Yes, I DID get to watch the finale last night.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I've read people on TWOP describe it as brotherly, but seriously, people.

Brothers like on Supernatural?

Either that or Heroes.

Totally!

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

My gut instinct is that Alex provided Matt with a fake when she "returned" it.

I would not be surprised. And then the rest of it was a way to get Neal and Kate somewhere away from their handlers/friends so they could be killed, thus covering the BigBad's tracks.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

You mean like Wincest?

I rewatched last night trying to imagine what he would say besides "I love you" or "I can't leave you" or something similar.

I was thinking "please let me go"

Did anyone get a whiff of Casablanca at the airport scene?

No, but I did get a hint of Bodyguard. I'm a little ashamed of it, though.

My gut instinct is that Alex provided Matt with a fake when she "returned" it.

Yes, I think so. And we'll never know because the FBI seized the one that Fowler had, which means it will probably be returned to the Russians. Until they need a plot bunny in season 4.
