Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Lancing was ten times as awesome in this one episode as Cruz was in the whole rest of the season. I'm going to give her credit for inching up her arms to expose her weapon to Burke, plus she had a backup.

I loved the end of the episode.

Peter: She's bad for you.
June: I love you.
Moz: Don't leave me.
El: You love the idea of her, not her.
Neal: Only you can stop me, Peter.
Peter: Stop.
Neal: Peter...

I choose not to find that final "Peter" ambiguous. The man was in tears.

Trust my rage

I was sort of proud of Peter for putting it out there. So often, esp. on TV, people never actually say how they feel. And the tears!

One of the things I like about this show is that Peter is not dumb. He might not be suave like Neal but he's very smart. I was watching the first few episodes a few days ago (I had started in the middle) and I was impressed with the change in dynamic. They were not peers/partners when they started. I think that was good for Neal because he was arrogant. But being with Peter has changed him, and vice versa.

Neal has a flair that Peter lacks, but Peter's incisive, and doesn't take anything for granted. He sees to the heart of the matter. Only El sees straighter than him, pretty much. Neal can't outthink him for long.

When does this rerun again?

Any time you want, as often as you want—it's up on Hulu now.

YES! I forgot to mention her (can you blame me? My mind was full of naked Neal. I whitfonted as to save the magic for the west coasters. It was such a pleasant interlude). I was so excited when she showed up in the park! I hope that she transfers back to NY this season.

I also loved Peter threatening Fowler with the info, but then not giving it to him. Of course, they had him with the music box, but whatev.

One of the things I like about this show is that Peter is not dumb.

yes, very much. Peter would have to be smart to catch Neal, and I'm glad that we get to see it. I also love when he does sneaky smart things like record the asian prostitutes talking and translates it.

Enogh white fonting! Celebrate naked!

Can I tag this, ita?

That was excellent! I will definitely be rewatching it, soon.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I suppose it would be unprofessional to have shirtless sculpting Neal as my work desktop? Hmph.

I have nothing deep to add, just dolphin noises and flailing arms. So glad I gave in to the peer pressure and started watching.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Right! Rainbows and art and wine and Elizabeth! Sparklepen!

Seriously, I don't know any other way to read the text than the slash. Which gets us back round to the definition of slash if they mean it.

And also totally with Bev on the apartment porn. I lust over that apartment every time I see it.

I need more bookshelves.

I'm not sure how nakey sculpting Neal gets me to this conclusion, but it's one I'm willing to live with.
